Position Overview

Fort St. John Co-op is seeking a Division Manager, Business to Consumer (B2C) to lead our convenience, retail and food service operations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for ensuring organizational priorities, operational standards, and performance expectations are consistently executed across all locations.The successful candidate will provide leadership, coaching, accountability, and operational oversight to Store Managers while driving strong customer experiences, site standards, team development, and financial performance. This position is highly visible and hands-on. The Senior Manager will spend significant time in stores working directly with leaders, identifying opportunities, removing barriers, improving performance, and ensuring operational excellence is maintained across the division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, develop and hold store managers accountable for operational and financial performance.
  • Ensure store standards, customer service, merchandising, food service, and operational procedures are consistently executed.
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits, inspections, and performance reviews.
  • Drive improvements in sales, margins, labour productivity, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify performance gaps, establish corrective action plans, and follow through to resolution.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and leadership development opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, food safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in retail, food service, fuel retail, grocery, or multi-unit operational leadership.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success leading managers and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, labour management, inventory controls and financials.
  • Proven ability to coach, influence, and drive operations execution through others.
  • Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the Peace-Liard region.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Salary Band: Management $103,804  $155,706
